The Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Government, Mukhtar Lugga, has described Governor Dauda Lawal as a hero of modern times in recognition of his performance since assuming office two years ago.
Lugga made the remarks while addressing journalists in Gusau on the occasion of Governor Lawal’s second anniversary in office.
He commended the governor for what he termed as unprecedented achievements across all sectors of human development.
“Governor Dauda Lawal has achieved what no other governor in the history of Zamfara State has accomplished,” Lugga said. “There is no single area of human endeavor that has not been positively touched by his administration.”
Mukhtar Lugga highlighted significant strides in the health sector, noting that, the state government has undertaken the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and remodeling of all General Hospitals across the state.
"These facilities, he said, are now equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment to ensure improved access to quality healthcare, particularly for residents in rural communities"
The Chief of Staff also applauded the administration’s efforts in the education sector, citing the remodeling and equipping of numerous primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.
He added that, the road infrastructure within the state, especially in the capital, Gusau, has received a major boost, transforming the city into a modern and more functional urban center.
Malam Mukhtar Lugga pointed out that, the agricultural sector has seen renewed focus, while women and youth empowerment has been prioritized through the establishment of an ultra-modern skills acquisition center designed to train beneficiaries in various vocational trades.
The Chief of Staff Commended Governor Dauda Lawal for rekindling the hopes of ordinary citizens and restoring public confidence in democratic governance.
He urged the people of Zamfara to continue supporting the administration’s policies and programmes, which he said are geared towards alleviating the suffering of the rural population and fostering inclusive development.
