The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has distributed high-tech equipments to coordinators across the state’s three senatorial districts, ahead of the full commencement of the party’s electronic registration (e-registration) of members.
The Chairman of the APC in Zamfara State, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, represented by the State Secretary, Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, formally presented the computers and other working tools to programme coordinators at a event in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.
Danfulani expressed confidence that the e-registration exercise would strengthen the party’s membership structure and improve its internal administration across the state.
He also expressed the hope that, the exercise would be conducted peacefully and successfully in all wards of Zamfara State.
Speaking at the ceremony, the APC State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, said the e-registration exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday, described it as a major step toward strengthening the party’s membership database and internal democracy.
Yusuf Gusau disclosed that, the party has provided 17 high-tech computers, tablets, internet facilities, printers, and other digital tools to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the registration exercise across the state.
He explained that internet routers were provided to guarantee seamless connectivity, power banks to address electricity challenges in some areas, while printers would be stationed at zonal offices to support the registration process.
According to him, the equipment would be deployed at both zonal and ward levels, enabling supervisors and coordinators to register members in real time, while also preventing manipulation and sabotage of the process.
Gusau added that all stakeholders involved in the registration exercise have been adequately briefed on their roles, noting that the initiative reflects the party’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the use of modern technology in party administration.
During the ceremony, the party leadership formally handed over the registration materials to the coordinators.
Receiving the equipment, the Zamfara West Senatorial Coordinator, Barrister Ali Muhammad, commended the party leadership for the initiative and assured that, the materials would be handled responsibly to ensure a successful registration exercise.
He urged party members and supporters across the state to fully participate in the exercise, stressing that accurate registration is critical to the party’s growth and electoral success.
The event was attended by some party officials, zonal coordinators and other stakeholders, who expressed optimism that the e-registration exercise would further reposition the APC in Zamfara State.
