The Zamfara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the visit of its leader, former Governor and Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, scheduled to commence on Thursday, 13th November, 2025.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the APC said the visit would begin with a grand reception for the Minister at 2:00 p.m. in Kotorkoshi, Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.
According to the statement, the visit is being coordinated under the leadership of the State APC Chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani, called on all party members, supporters, and admirers to turn out en masse to welcome the Minister.
Upon his arrival, Dr. Matawalle is expected to meet with party stakeholders, including former governors, deputy governors, and other prominent leaders, at his residence in Gusau.
On Friday, 14th November, 2025, the Minister will lead a stakeholders’ meeting at the state APC Secretariat, located opposite Maigoro Filling Station, Bye-pass, Gusau.
The visit will continue on Saturday, 15th November, 2025, when the Minister is scheduled to proceed to his hometown, Maradun, for further meetings with party members and family associates.
The party called for the cooperation of security agencies to ensure a smooth and peaceful visit. It also urged its members and supporters to remain law-abiding and conduct themselves responsibly throughout the programme.
The statement further cautioned against carrying weapons of any kind, warning that anyone caught violating the directive would face the full wrath of the law.
It also advised members to be vigilant and guard against troublemakers attempting to disrupt the visit.
