The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Muslims in the state and across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
In a statement issued in Gusau on Friday, the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Yusuf Idris Gusau, described the celebration as a season of reflection and unity.
He urged Muslims to emulate the noble qualities of the Prophet, particularly his teachings on good neighbourliness.
The party called on the faithful to use the period to strengthen their relationship with Allah through increased charity, prayers for peace and development, as well as compassion towards one another.
“We urge all Muslims to use the Maulud period to pray for the return of peace in our dear state and the country at large,” Idris stated.
The party further prayed that Allah bless the celebration with peace and a brighter future for Zamfara and Nigeria.
