Governor Dauda Lawal has called for intensified prayers for the restoration of peace in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.
The Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris made this known In a statement issued to newsmen to mark this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, said the occasion is an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on and emulate the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
It explains that, Muslims commemorate the birth of the Prophet every 12th of Rabi’ul Auwal, noting that the Prophet’s life serves as a guide for good character, values, and righteous conduct.
According to the statement, Governor Lawal, on behalf of the people of Zamfara State, congratulated the Muslim Ummah and urged the faithful to use the season to pray for peace, unity, and progress.
He expressed optimism that with collective prayers and steadfastness, Almighty Allah will bring an end to banditry and all forms of criminality in the state and across the country.
