ZAMFARA HEALTH COMMISSIONER HAILS GOVERNOR'S FOCUS ON NURSING COLLEGE, SECTOR OVERHAUL.

Zamfara State Commissioner of Health Dr. Nafisa Muhammed Maradun on Wednesday lauded Governor Dauda Lawal's commitment to revitalizing the state's health sector, citing his recent inspection of the ongoing renovation, construction, and equipping of the Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences as a clear indication of his dedication.

In a statement by the Information Officer
Ministry of Sulaiman Isah says Dr. Maradun, speaking to reporters at the project site in Gusau, emphasized that Lawal's personal visit demonstrated his readiness to revolutionize the entire health sector.

Governor Lawal's inspection aimed to assess the progress, quality, and timelines of the project, which is seen as crucial for enhancing healthcare education and ultimately improving the state's healthcare delivery system.

The governor's presence underscored the importance the administration places on investing in both healthcare infrastructure and the training of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Maradun stated that the upgraded College of Nursing Sciences is vital for producing a sufficient number of qualified nurses who will staff the state's hospitals, including the ongoing renovations at All the General Hospitals across Zamfara.

She added that the state also requires qualified Medical Director to effectively manage these healthcare facilities.

"With the progress we are witnessing at the College of Nursing Sciences, we are confident that we will have the skilled personnel needed to achieve our goals in the health sector," Maradun said.

"The governor's commitment to this project and to healthcare in general is truly commendable."
The project at the College of Nursing Sciences is expected to significantly boost the training capacity for nursing professionals in Zamfara State.
