The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, for his effective coordination in the rescue and safe return of the abducted students of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State.
In a statement issued by the APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris Gusau said the Minister’s swift and strategic intervention in the rescue operation further demonstrates his capacity, commitment, and dedication in discharging the responsibilities of his office.
The party noted that rescuing all the girls in good health less than a week after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed the Minister to relocate to Kebbi State and oversee the operation has put detractors to shame and silenced those who derive satisfaction in criticizing the Federal Government’s handling of security matters.
The APC lauded all security agencies involved in the operation, praising their professionalism and relentless effort in ensuring the safe return of the victims.
The party urged them to sustain the momentum until peace and security are fully restored across the country.
It added that Matawalle’s approach to tackling insecurity, which he successfully deployed during his tenure as Governor of Zamfara State, once again played a significant role in coordinating the rescue of the Maga schoolgirls.
The statement also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing the safety of Nigerians by suspending all official engagements to closely monitor the security situation.
Furthermore, the APC congratulated the Kebbi State Government under the leadership of Governor Nasiru Idris, as well as the parents of the abducted students, for the safe and unharmed return of their children.
