The parent's Association of Zamfara State abandoned 88 students, studying at Cyprus International University has
entered into mediation and consultation between the University and Zamfara State government to resolve all the bottlenecks that prevented the continuation of their children education in the university.
The Chairman of the parents Association, Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu announced this at a news briefing in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.
Ambassador Tudu explained that, the intervention would help the students to
continue, finish thier studies and come back home.
He called on all concern persons to desist from further unsubstantiated remarks and politicization of the students issues since they had meet with the state Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal on the issue.
Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu pointed out that, the purpose of the mews briefing was to send a direct message of commendation to Zamfara State Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal for listening to them as the parents and guardians of the children.

According to him, during their meeting with the Governor, they discuss all issues raised with a view to remedy them.
He also expressed gratitude to Zamfara State Ulama Consultative Council led by Sheik Ahmad Umar Kanoma for their timely intervention based on their request by successfully facilitating the meeting with the state Government.
The Chairman of the association further acknowledge the role played by other individuals and personalities that showed concern on the plight of the children.
