Zamfara SSG hails peaceful conduct of local government election.




The Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada has expressed satisfaction on the peaceful conduct of the local government elections in the state.

He made this known  after casting his vote at his polling unit in Gusau.

Malam Abubakar Nakwada said he was impressed by the orderly manner in which the electorates conduct themselves and the professionality of the security agents on election duty across the state.

“I am satisfied with the peaceful conduct of the fellow electorates who are exercising their franchise in an orderly manner.
“Equally, I am impressed with the professionalism of the Police and other election officials,” Nakwada expressed.

Malam Abubakar Nakwada urged party supporters to remain calm while awaiting ZASIEC's officials to  announce the election results.

"I'm hoping that the candidates of the PDP will sweep all the seats at the end of the process, I'm also confidence in the party's administration being led by Governor Dauda Lawal in the state"

“While awaiting the official announcement of results by the ZASIEC, I call on our party supporters to remain calm and steadfast.
“I am confident that the candidates of our great party, the PDP will emerge victorious at the end of the process,” the SSG concluded.

Office of the Secretary to the State Government said the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) conducted the first local government election in five years.
